Maser and slave...
by Alun
There is a saying by Peter McWilliams that I really like which is so very much the essence of my musings today: “Definition of a victim: a person to whom life happens.”
Now I know that many of my musings begin with a question and the reason for that is to get you thinking about your life. Today’s will be no exception, and my question today is: Do you believe that you are master of your life and create the life you live, or are you a slave to the whims of fate and believe that life “just happens to you”? Whichever you believe, will have an enormous impact upon whether you enjoy your life or not and whether you feel you actually can create the life you want.
We live in a Universe which is made up from, and filled with infinite possibilities, and it is our focus and our intention that brings those possibilities into physical experience. Whilst it’s true the Universe has an ultimate goal of expansion and growth, we have a co-creative relationship with it such that we decide what we will create in our lives. Now I know that there will be some who read this and not agree with it. And that’s absolutely fine. All I would ask is that you at least consider the possibility that you have more control of what occurs to you and around you than you have believed before.
Everything is all about possibility and potential and absolutely anything really is possible. We just need to focus upon what we want and believe that it is possible. It is our lack of belief and lack of focus that are the stumbling blocks and barriers to really creating that which we want. We limit ourselves all too often about how something will happen. The answer to us when we ask something is never “no”, but more like “not that way” or “not quite yet”. We get so caught up and attached to things we think we want, that when they don’t happen we often resign ourselves to thoughts like “It’s not meant to be” or “life’s a bitch” or “I’m not good enough/powerful enough”.
What happens when we lose faith is that we can believe that things are fated to happen in a particular way and that we have no control over them. If you’ve ever had your tarot cards read or seen a spiritual medium, an accurate one will be able to tell you quite a bit about what’s going on around you right now. They can also tap into the potentialities and possibilities for the future. Often what they tell you will come out to be “true” for you. And sometimes it’s not. The thing to remember here is that the Reader/Medium was informing you of potentials. It’s up to you to help bring them about. It’s your focus, and your intent, and your self belief that create things. I’ll be willing to bet too that many are willing to believe any negative things that come from a reading rather than things that appear positive!
Remember what I said earlier, where we put our energy, focus, and attention, is what we bring about. If we don’t believe something will really happen then our focus is not upon creating it, but proving that it’s not possible. Do you get that? I often hear the phrase “I hope it’ll happen but I don’t think it will”. Now there’s a defeatest phrase if ever I heard one!
No matter what predictions are made, what makes them become more real and manifest more quickly is the focus, intention, and belief that they will come about.
Now the focus of this is not about whether mediums and tarot card readers are any good. That was just an example. The focus here is that YOU really are the creator of your life and your existence, whether you like it or not. It’s the “not” bit that gets most people I assure you! If you’re a slave or victim to life and believe it happens to you, that kind of lets you off the hook of all the things that have happened so far. It means you don’t have to take responsibility for attracting experiences you’ve had and so you can blame someone or something else for creating them. That’s absolving responsibility. One of the first steps in becoming the Master Creator of your life, is accepting that you have complete control about what you focus upon, what you intend, what you believe, what you think, and what you feel. And it is all these things that help to co-create with the Universe the life you’re living. What you think, focus, intend, and believe right now is creating your current experience AND your future. The more you believe that something you want is possible, the more you bring to you other possibilities that can be even more exciting and wonderful.
I know this is a long one today and there’s a lot in it, and I would highly recommend you take time to read it through slowly, and digest the points within it. To summarise a few of the main ones:
- it’s your choice about what you think, feel, intend, and focus upon
- your life is not set in stone
- your life is being create moment by moment by what you think, feel, intend, and focus upon
- it’s your choice whether you master your life the way you want it, or allow yourself to be a victim
- take responsibility for all that you’ve created, attracted, and manifested so far, and choose to create something even better from now on
Bearing in mind everything I’ve written, what will you do now in terms of your life? What will you change as a result of reading this? Of course, you may think all that I’ve written is a load of old poppycock – and that’s absolutely fine. You can always choose to unsubscribe from my mailing list. ;-)
Whatever you choose to do, you are more aware now than you were before you began reading, just how much more power you have over your life than you ever thought possible. So I ask again… what will you do now that you know this?
